One Yummy Cookie-without the guilt
I just discovered my new favorite hip mom mag.
You may already know about it, but I love it so much, I wanted to tell ya anyway.
It's called Cookie. Yep, just Cookie. and it's delicious!
It's full of great photos, style ideas, cool kid stuff, and smart articles.
And even though I would probably never put my grubby little guys in the stylin" duds shown in this magazine, they sure are fun to look at. Plus there are great new music reviews that offer up stuff that won't make you want to hurl when you listen to it. Let's face it.... Raffi's great, but so is Green Day!
If you are looking for a fun summer magazine that treats moms like the cool, fun loving, smart women we are, then check it out.
Here's a quote I found yesterday within it's pages and I can't get it out of my head.
"I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a Fairy Godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift would be curiosity."
Elenor Roosevelt, October 2 1966
So think curiosity, and go after and uncover something this month you've always wondered about!
QUESTION:
Anybody have any fun and creative ways to encourage your kids curiosity?? If you do, just post it under comments!

Okay,
I'll start!
My kids and I love tubbie time. I bath them every night, not because they need it, but because it's a great time of transition from crazy day to snoozville.
I am always looking for fun stuff for them to explore while they soak. I have two boys, so they share the tub and play together. Last night I collected a bucket of items and we had a little "float or sink" experiment. Sounds simple and it is, but by putting in creative, or unusual stuff , you can really stump them.
Some of the tricky ones were a piece of bubble gum,
a full bottle of shampoo, a hard boiled egg, and an ipod (just kidding).
Plus it sparks a great chat about WHAT makes things bouyant.
